*short wave before heading to bed*

Busy weekend here... start of a busy month, probably. Got the keys to my new flat on Saturday morning and spent all day with either carrying stuff from one place to another or preparing for renovation work. The first wall is painted ;)

Morning :)

@Elyris: some kind of creme colour or ivory. Very light, but not as cold as pure white. The walls before have been light blue, then some pink-salmon colour painted over that - doesn't exactly fit my taste. Especially cause when they did the pink layer they didn't bother to move one of the closets they had standing there - so now I have a pink wall with a babyblue square on it. Lovely.

Back home.

@Kiy: That sounds neutral. Yeah - I know that phenomenon.

Trivia of the day:

My back is really badly acheing by now. It's already kaputt for 2 weeks now, but it hasn't been that bad yet.

The drive back from work was a little bit crazy. First off there was the bus on the front of the row of cars in front of me. The we all had to pass a movie set (for some kind of crime series - including a fake crime scene), get through the little village and then in a 90° turn in a small forest there were people cutting the branches of the tress, followed by people doing some stuff on the sides of the road. Not to mention the usual small traffic jam on the was through the town.

Finally having off for the day too :)

@Elyris: Yeah, it's a pretty neutral colour. I'm working with different colours too, but try to keep things bright.

Your way home: Well - at least you can say it wasn't boring.. :oh:

Morning

My back is severely broken by now. I can honestly say I could've never imagined it could hurt that much. I can't lay down, sit stand or walk without having pain that makes me howl. So sadly it's up to the doc today, hoping she can give me some injections or something to at least ease the pain as then I have to go to work and do at least the minmum today.

Elyris, if your back is broken, then better let the doc decide if you're able to go to work or not. Standing in the lab for hours won't make things better... No job is worth ruining your health.

Hey Kiy :)

I was lucky and got the be the first ot go in to the doc this morning. A vitamin B12 injection in my upper arm and several others in my lower back later I got out, written ill for today and tomorrow for now (asI asked for- but in all honesty it doesn't look as if things will clear up so soon now).
Drove ot work later and after making another stupid movement in the changeing room (and standing there, yelling out loud) I really managed to get things done and drive back home in one piece.
Now, after I finally got ot take some painkillers (Ibuprofen 600), the pain is dimmed a bit, but not gone (which is kinda ... weird). And now I'll have ot go to the radiologist and let make them some nice photos (all digital now - what happened to the good old negative anyway?) of my spine.
I hope I wouldn't have ot wait too long and that I can move into the positions they ask of me.

Catch ya later.

Morning

How's your back, Elyris? Whatever it is, it doesn't sound good if even the painkillers don't work properly. I hope those docs are gonna find out with those radiology pictures.

Hey Kiy :)

Well ... the last night was betterthan the one before and hte pain is at least a little reduced. But it still hurts like hell. The radiology pics didn't arrived at the docs yet. They don't make those negatives anymore, just digital pictures -smaller and with less detail. They even gave me a CD with the pics, but I can't open the files. It's all ridiculous.
The doc wrote me ill until next Tuesday and I managed to get an earlier appointment at the physiotherapist (today). For now only taking it slow seems to help.
I'll have to drop at work tomorrow for a little bit again though.

Files: Probably some obscure format coming from that thingy they took the pics with. How I love that...

Taking it slow sounds good - and take care when you drive to work tomorrow. I'm not completely sure, but I think your insurance ain't valid while you're written ill.

Hey Kiy :)

Yeah, I know nad last time I tried (jeez - that was only yesterday, feels longer) it was really at the border.

But tomorrow I get free access to my very own family taxi (aka grandpa). He'll drive me there, wait until I'm finished and drive me home again. :)

Hey Kiy :)

Instead of about 30 to 45 minutes (how I planned) it took me nearly 2hours at work.

Tell me about it. I only wanted to sneak in shortly today. Must have eaten something wrong or caught a bug somewhere, anyway I've spent a lot of time in the bathroom last night with belly cramps. So I only wanted to check at my current projects and then leave for bed. Well - I just left now :/
At least I was working from home.

Checking in from Liveoak Springs, Ca. About 50 miles east of San Diego. And no, I did not see Deputy DBE of the San Diego County Sheriffs Department. I did however, see a lot of idiots.

Better. It's surprising what 10 hours of sleep can do... works miracles.

Still wouldn't wanna eat more that dry bread or chicken broth.
