Usually, when I return after a long vacation, work has piled up, this and that doesn't work properly and I have to fix it etc...

You know what is worse than that? When there is nothing to do. Absolutely nothing. Boring days at work, that is the worst thing to me. If the day is boring, you feel like the end of the working day is 100 hours away... but if you are busy, it all passes very quickly
