Re: What's "growing" on?
Got a cardamom plant, finger lime, pineapple guava, a vanilla orchid and I found a sprouting hazelnut in the garden! Also, I think you guys might think im crazy with my last buy, but I got 18 peas for about 76$!
The reason they cost so darn much is because they are almost gone. You can't get these at your local store. They are called "Locomotive driver Berfälts giant peas", and yes, they are giants! The pods grow to around 30cm long and up to 5cm across!
But it's too late to plant any now so I will have to wait until next spring, oh well.
PS
The banana got two more pups!

Re: What's "growing" on?
WOO HOO!
Can't belive I got my hands on 2 types of rare, avatar like plant seeds!
First one is Passiflora Macrophylla. A passionflower with huge leaves (3ft long and 1ft wide), growing like a tree.

The other one is Piper Auritum, aka Root Beer Plant, aka Kava plant!

So maybe I can make some "real" kava in the future!
(Its supposed to taste the same, but without the side effects)

Ok, I need you guys help for a bit!
At the greenhouse I'm working at, they need a lot more plants to grow that will actually sell. So I figured why not plant some Avatar like plants?
What type of plants would you guys like to see at a greenhouse?

I absolutely love orchids, they're so alien.
And I'm strangely fascinated by flesh eating plants.
Unfortunately, I've managed to kill quite a few in the past years, so I've given up on trying to raise them myself.

Lemme guess, venus flytrap? They only grow for about 2-3 months and then goes dormant for the rest of the year. Roots's still good and will start growing again.

Re: What's "growing" on?
Yup, one of those little ones. We used to feed it fruit flies. This was a number of years ago, so no idea if it was really dead or just dormant. :-/
And we even found a teeny little pitcher plant once. But I don't have a green thumb (it's blue, lol), it didn't live very long either.
PS: the tomato plant in the backyard is doing remarkably well. It's over 6ft tall. I've never seen tomato plants this tall, except last years cherry tomatoes that were also 6ft tall.
