Still sunny weather, but back to work. But at least it's Friday.

Afternoon - sunny and warm weather plus belly ache and birthday celebration tomorrow (meh).

Well - grandma was had quite the cold for about 2 weeks and so on Wednesday (her real birthday) only we children/grandchildren came over only for a bit of coffee and cake. But of course the family and freinds are a lot more people. So today it's gonna be her siblings and their families and sometime next week the friends (we don't have a single space where all those people fit in at once).

And in about 2 months it'll be grandpas 80th birthday - that'll be a lot of work.

Uh huh - I see. I like birthday parties in general, but those extended celebrations with older family members can be extremely boring. Or, as you said, a lot of work if you're the one who has to prepare it all.

@Kiy: Well - I don't have to prepare it all, but it's still sooo exhausting.

And those are the only birthday 'parties' in my life. For my aunts birthday 3 other peolpe come, none for my cousin, none for my mom, none for me. (which is quite boring and senseless, but oh well.)

Family celebrations are always a hard thing (esp. when people start asking you the same 'Why isn't your life like I would want it to be?' questions and as na extra I always feel like I am just 8 years old when the do that, no sign of them realising I am a person of a certain age. Social stuff is messy.)

Social obligations can suck. Especially family affairs - I know. Sometimes I wonder how close relatives can be so totally different and don't have anything in common with your own thinking at all. Plus - I know that some just have difficulties accepting that you're not 8 years old anymore. It only gets partially better with age; I still have those moments now and then.

I think it *might* be better if I would be living according to their wishes - being married with two children a dog two cars and a house (especially being married - the older i get the more obvious it becomes that virgins are handled like some weird abominations without a functioning brain in this society).

Also: Appointments with the employment agency suck - they suck a lot.

That last one I totally agree with. They just suck!

Luckily enough it was OK today. I hate that stuff.

Well - beig arried or in a relationship is what is expected, being divorced is OKK, beign single also - but people want to hear that you are back in a relationship soon enough, having none of those and no interest in changeing that is looked at as if you are a strange animal. Those are my observations.
Society has a lot of expectations and a quite narrow understanding of what is 'normal' - one can buffer this wiht enough money on hand, sure, but it's still exhausting (as people also seem to always you to explain yourself and excuse yourself).
