I'm logging on from Moody, Al. From here it's into Birmingham the up thru Memphis (the land of the stupid, nuts with cars.) Then westward to Oklahoma.

Somewhere around Memphis this truck will hit the 100,000 mile Mark.

Huh, yeah... they kinda haven't made that study long enough. There are gonna be serious side effects once the money runs out.

Checking in from a n e w laptop. The 'old' one got toast this afternoon (burnt-plastic-small inclusive), so I had to get a replacement ASAP. (Now I still need to figure out how to safe the data.)

Does the old one still start up? Or do you have a backup somewhere?

If the hard drive is not physically damaged, data can be retrieved relatively easily. If you can send the drive to me, I will send you back the files... or something Alternatively, in next 45 days I will MAYBE be going through Frankfurt again, and probably stay for one night there...

@Kiy: Not yesterday, we will try again today. Uhm .. I got an external hardrive that I used the last time about 2 years ago and some of the 'basic important' stuff is on there, but surely not everything.

Logging on from Dreadful Dallas, Tx.

I've come up with a new driving technich in idiot traffic procedure that I want to try. I want to wear blinders.

And change out the air horn with something a tad bit different. I want a horn that makes that irritating sound of someone scraping their fingernails across a chalkboard, but a whole lot louder.

I was wondering why so many people over there (also in Canada) use the horn so much - even in traffic jam. Over here you seldomly hear one.

Changed sound of a horn: Ack... you'd see the cars jump out of the way
(Even the thought of that sound gives me goosebumps, but not the good kind)

Because people over here are dumber than chickens. They need to be woken up occasionally.
