I'm still trying to switch back into work mode... and I'm failing miserably.

Well - I guess this tells us that we are not naturally made to be like this.

Of course we ain't made for this. At least not all of us... there are a few exceptions, yeah, but I think most people just wanna live their lives in a rhythm they want to, doing things they are interested in, and not spend most of their time doint something that bores them just to get money to pay the bills.

If it would stop being bothersome at causing boredom ... it's simply ruining your health your mood and in the end what really should've been your life.
What a cold mess.

Hey Kiy :)

I like the idea of affordable living space anyway.

And now to something completley different....

Two days agao my bood told me that Vespa velutina (a south-east asian hornet species) was found in south-west Germany for the first time and beekeepers are already started to worry (not even to mention the occurence of Aethina tumidia - the small hive beetle - in Italy ...this will cause a lot of trouble).

But that's still nothing compared to Vespa mandarinia (the giant asian hornet) - their stinger can get up to 6mm long

Morning

I know where I will be today: sitting in a train to Hannover for a few hours, listening to a presentation for 90 minutes and then back to the train and (hopefully) home for another few hours.

You gotta love it :gotcha:

Ugh, Elyris... the ratio between "time spent in the train" and "time spent listening to the presentation" sounds just awesome... hope at least the content is worth it.

Eh, knowing all taht in advance, what I would do is:

1. Enough snacks and drinks for the trip to and from
2. Most of the trains have electric sockets between seats. So, my laptop... Either loaded with movies or I would be [prepared to do some work or... be online through the journey

:)

Finally back home - I feel so dead -_-

@Kiy: Uhm ... well - no. These presentations are PhD Students talking about hteir projects. Sometimes interesting, often I don't understand a single word (and because it's in english) - it's just too specific.

Today it was about a project where they try to find a possible connection between consumtion of red meat and colon cancer (again, you might say).

And it was even more chaotic than usual as there's a strike for the trains (sorry for my bad english , but I'm just too lazy to look it up).

@flighter: I'm always packed with enough food to surivive for two days without having to search for any other source of nutrients.

There are only electrical sockets in the higher ranking trains (IC and ICE) and the internet connection is a bad joke, so I didn't bring any electronics for entertainment (except the new mp3 player) with me. I wouldn't want to carry the laptop around anyway, it's the only straight working pc we got, plus it's heavy (or as someone once said a Schlepptop) and I don't even own a bag for it.
