Morning :)

Yeah, living in the countryside sucks if it's about fast internet. The cables there just ain't up to speed :/
It's partly in the heads of people, if you imagine that there are business hotels where you actually have to pay an extra fee to have wifi on your room.

Some things are shocking...

Back in 1990, I visited a friend. Her father was in charge of border police in one town near the border with Romania. In these days, at the border crossing there would usually 2-3 cars going toward Romania. In the opposite direction, from Romanian side, there would be 2-3... kilometers long line of cars waiting for their screening and maybe crossing... I've heard, from only few people who had a chance to enter Romania in Chausescu's days, that if you leave the major highway, you would think it is a time-travel... anything other than major urban areas was EXTREMELY undeveloped.

Now, 25 years later, Romania has one of the fastest average internet speeds available to the public. Not in all areas, of course, but still, the fastest!

I didn't have the time to research what & why & how, but it is sho9cking that once one of the most underdeveloped European countries is progressing at least that way today.

The girlfriend of my boss (used ot work next door and is currently about ot wait for an appointment to finish her PhD) is pregnant. Not that I don't feel happy about a baby to come, but considering I'll never have a child it feels like I'm cut open and strangulated at the same time. I just get very sad and hurt which will continue for days. Even being around children (and esp. babies) makes me feel that way.

@Bogo: Guessing that that list of places you've put up ain't current anymore, only one quote comes to my mind. "You're not in Kansas anymore" :hee:
