Not .. really. My moms birthday is next week, then one of my great cousins (on the 21st) and 2 great uncles (on the 26th and 30th) have their birthdays and back in the day my great-grandmother had her birthday on the 22nd and that was really when all the family came together- I admit those last ones are not mandatory anymore, but then of course there's christmas and Sylvester, so ....
December is always full to the rim and insanely expensive.
