Re: The ground level - in and out
Yeah - I can start renovating from 1 September on, my move's gonna be on the 29th. Sounds like fall, but actually it's gonna be a mere month... time's starting to run here.
Markets: I have no idea, why you don't have them up there :/

I hope all will go smoothly.
Yeah >_> But still I don't know if I'd go there all by myself. I'm just too much of a chicken for that.

I still have to meet someone unfriendly on such a market. Doesn't mean those people don't exist, just haven't met them yet.
And thanks
And thanks

Re: The ground level - in and out
Good morning
Oh, that's not it. I simply don't dare to go out alone. It feels dangerous. I only have my mom, so by now I spent like 80% of my free days inside as she simply doesn't want to go anywhere and I don't dare to go anywhere alone, I wouldn't even know where to start and the moment my grandparents find out that I am up to go somewhere alone grandma would sent grandpa with me the very moment. So I guess this will just be like a long weekend - staying inside most of the time, no doing anything 'fun', only visiting the garden (maybe).
*sigh* This life sucks and I'll have to wait until the next one. I feel tired.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Morning
Hey, don't let yourself get scared by the world outside... alright, there are things I won't do either. Like using public transportation at night alone... or moving through a ghetto zone alone. Or visit shady bars late at night - the classical situations where a girl can run into trouble.
Those situations can indeed be dangerous, but the world as a whole ain't that bad as the media make it look. There's a lot of crap going on, but a lot of good things too. Don't let your grandparents fears let you stick to your flat.
I've seen it with my former in-laws. They're like that, trusting nobody outside their family (and even distrusting some of their family), and now that they're old and their health is fading they're just stuck inside their house, with no outside contacts besides the doctor and a few people who help with the everyday work. They're lonely.
Ya know that I'm living alone... it's not the most easy thing of the world, having to care for everything myself, simple things like having to care for dinner myself despite being home late and tired, or having to care for myself when I'm sick; and of course I very carefully checked the neighbourhoods of my current flat as well as my future one. And to say I'm happy would be a blatant lie, but you know that's for different reasons.
I wouldn't tell you "hey, go out and live on your own", comfort zones are different for everybody... it's just that the world outside is worth going out and have a look at it.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Hey Kiy
The problem is: It's not the medias that made the worl outside and the people look bad for me - that's up to the world and the people themself. I'm simply too different nad I recognize that i become more and more uncertain when it's about contact with people due to the fact that I get the impression not matter what I try it's wrong. So I can never just be myself, thus never relax. It's quite straining. I guess I'd go outside more if there weren't that much people around. They make me feel uneasy. I guess I am already lonely, but there's nothing I can do about this without ripping my own soul out to 'integrate' myself into the modern society - I prefer being alone over that.
It got colder outside. Last night was the third night wiht enormous thunderstorm going on for hours in a row. I hope it'll be better tomorrow.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Well, if people make you uneasy, there's not much that can be done about that. There are people around most of the times, if you don't go out in the middle of those thunderstorms you just mentioned. And that doesn't sound like much fun at all :/
Weather: Well, we have thunderstorms here too - little ones, but it's hot and humid here all the time. The market was great, but I came home drenched, and not so much from the occasional little shower that came down - those were welcome for a few minutes, but afterwards things even got worse. Gives an idea about living in a monsoon area
Today it's a little bit cooler outside - gives me some hope for being able to sleep tonight.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Weather really got crazy the last time. Here it started about two months ago when we had the first real thunderstorm of the year - going on for the whole freakin day. I've never seen anything liek that my whole life. It's totally crazy. Also the intensity of the flashes and thunder is unparalleled fro mwhat I've seen so far.

It is stormy here atm. Rain, thunder and hail
Also got a massive fire in another part of Sweden with more than 24710 acres is on fire!

When in doubt, run in tiny little circles!

Re: The ground level - in and out
Over here it's not the intensity of the thunderstorms, we had worse already. It's just that there are so many of them. I can't remember having a full week full of thunderstorms every. single. afternoon/evening.
Monsoon area.

They werw huge today - like you go into the sea up to your knee and when a wave comes you have to jump in order to not get rolled over by it completely - HUGE, I tell you.

Wow... that doesn't happen every day at the Baltic Sea.
Lots of wind around?

Yup, but not significantly more wind than usual. Just quite high waves.
